  • Designed, researched, and wrote user manual for 3D Machine Vision system. Created online help prototypes. This documentation is used by management as sales aid in presentations to prospective customers, and covers all aspects of installing, operating, and maintaining the system.

  • Initial contract was from May - November 2000. Returned after my work at Intel and again after my Nautilus contract to update the manual and produce additional documentation as PPT continues to upgrade the software and hardware components of their product.

August 2002 - October 2002. The Nautilus Group. Vancouver, WA

Documented internal business processes and created training materials for employees to learn new accounting software package. The technical writing team's high-level documentation links together cross-manual procedures so Nautilus procedures can be performed more easily.

January 2002 - August 2002. Eckerdt Berry Farm (Cortez, CO).

Eight month sabbatical. Tended 14 acre pick-your-own berry farm with two partners. Created the farm's web site and advertising brochure. Worked the fields, created local sales opportunities, and attended local farmers markets.

November 2000 - September 2001. Intel Corporation. Portland, OR

  • Designed a series of electronic user manuals for Intel PC Cameras. Initiated HTML format as part of ongoing effort to replace paper documentation with online manuals.

  • Created online help for Intel's VideoPhone software application.

  • Updated online help for Intel's PC Cameras and Smart Toy Labs products.

April 1999 - April 2000. ADC Telecommunications. Minnetonka, MN

Provided complete documentation set for Craftworx – a software application used to provision subscriber-based cable TV and telephone services over a hybrid fiber-coaxial communications network. This documentation suite included a comprehensive User's Manual, Quick Start Guide, and online help system provided with the software.

August 1998 - April 1999. H.B. Fuller Company. St. Paul, MN·

Designed and wrote internal documentation as part of company-wide "Year 2000 Initiative." Our team's documentation provides the process for Fuller chemists and business entities world-wide to capture and share information about chemical materials.

January 1998 - August 1998. Varitronics Systems, Inc. Mpls, MN

Created complete documentation package for software-driven label making equipment. Collaborated with permanent writing staff to create on-line documentation and "Proposal for Documentation" for future projects.

October 1997 - January 1998. St. Paul Software. St Paul, MN

Wrote end-user documentation (user's manual, technical specification manual, and white paper) for spEDI*Interface - an electronic data interchange software package designed to provide electronic commerce solutions to manufacturers.

 

September 1997 - October 1997. Medical Graphics Corporation. St. Paul, MN

Wrote and edited user manuals for pulmonary/respiratory testing and diagnostic systems. The documentation tells medical technicians how to use all aspects of the product: installing and operating the software as well as the physical procedures of using the equipment to run medical test procedures on patients.
